Get into Teaching with Northern Education Trust

The aim of the internship programme is to give undergraduates the opportunity to experience teaching maths, physics, chemistry, computing, modern foreign languages or design and technology before they commit to it as a career. This programme is part of the Get into Teaching service, supporting prospective teachers through their journey into the profession.

The programme is open across England to potential teachers in maths, physics, chemistry, computing, modern foreign languages and design and technology. If you are interested in joining the programme for 2026 please complete the google form below.

The Teaching Internships Programme:

Will run towards the end of the academic year (June/July 2026) and will last for three weeks

Will offer interns a structure of activities to gain a deep experience of teaching, with access to one-to-one mentors, and opportunities to network with qualified subject specialists

Will include measures to support and encourage interns to apply for teacher training
