Working for the Community Zone has given me lots of opportunity to progress into different roles, throughout my time working for NET I have been fortunate enough to work alongside many people who have encouraged me to further my career. I am now working for the Central Finance Team and studying my AAT with the support from NET.

I started with one of the trust’s academies as an Apprentice ICT Technician and with some hard work and amazing opportunities I have worked my way up to Acting Director of ICT for 22 academies across the north of England. My job gives me fantastic opportunities to travel and meet new people, this means that every day brings a new exciting challenge and no day is the same. I’m excited to be a part of a great ICT Team and also a part of Northern Education Trust.

I began my career in the community zone in 2014, and it has helped me gain a variety of skills and qualities that have shaped me into the person I am today. I thrive on new opportunities that have been presented to me throughout my career with NET. I worked my way up from a community zone assistant to learning manager and now a qualified PE teacher with full-time teaching position in NET.
